"Concept of the year", created by YummyColours, is a collection of work by 70+ creators/artists. It is an invitation to explore creatively, and an open-ended prompt for work created through intentional and personal interpretation.
The theme for the 2024 collection is ITS FUCKING HARD TO BE A SQUIRREL THESE DAYS (set of instructions).
My project, titled “COMO ROMPER UN TELEVISOR,” is a three-dimensional reinterpretation and homage to the engraving of the same name by Juan Pablo Egusquiza. Through this work, I translate the original two-dimensional composition into a sculptural form, exploring how its imagery and conceptual tension can exist in physical space. By shifting from engraving to 3D form, the piece invites viewers to experience the work not only visually but spatially, engaging with its symbolic and material presence in a new way.
